
SIA Group's passenger load factor rose 3.1 ppt to 84.9% in November
Its flagship airline’s PLF expanded 2.8 ppt to 84.7%.
SIA Group airlines’ passenger load factor (PLF) rose by 3.1 ppt YoY to 84.9% in November, the company announced. Its passenger carriage grew 8.3%, outpacing its capacity growth of 4.4%.
Its flagship Singapore Airlines’s PLF expanded 2.8 ppt YoY to 84.7%. Its passenger carriage jumped 10.2%, against capacity injection of 6.6%. All route regions reflected growth between 2.2 to 3.1 ppt during the year-end peak.
SilkAir's system-wide passenger carriage fell 4.5% whilst capacity contracted 8.7% as ten routes were transferred to Scoot, leading to a 3.6 ppt improvement in PLF at 80.5%.
Likewise, Scoot's PLF rose 3.5 percentage points to 86.7% with passenger carriage rising 5.5% against capacity expansion of 1.1%.
However, cargo load factor (CLF) fell by 3.9 ppt, as the 7.2% decline in cargo traffic outpaced the capacity contraction of 1.5%. All route regions registered declines in CLF except Americas, where it edged up 0.5 ppt.
