SIA Group’s passenger traffic rises 14.1% MoM in March
The airline group carried a combined 2.7 million passengers during the month.
Robust travel demand continued to boost passenger traffic for the Singapore Airlines Group, carrying 2.7 million passengers combined in March.
Based on its latest operating results, the group’s passenger traffic is 14.1% higher than the February record and three times the number of passengers carried in March 2022.
The group’s passenger load factor (PLF) likewise increased, improving by 2.4 percentage points MoM and 34.5 percentage points YoY.
Whilst the group’s passenger segment continued to improve, its cargo business is still flying low.
The group’s cargo load factor clocked in at 55.1% or 17.4 percentage points lower year-on-year.
SIA Group’s cargo loads likewise declined, dropping 13.4% year-on-year due to weaker demand.
On the flip side, its cargo capacity expanded by 14.1% as increased passenger services resulted in higher belly-hold capacity.
