SIA inks media maintenance agreement with Thales

The deal will cover line maintenance, software and media content loading.

SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) signed an in-flight ntertainment and connectivity (IFEC) maintenance agreement with global firm Thales.

According to an announcement, Singapore Airlines (SIA) had selected Thales’ AVANT IFE system and Ka-band connectivity solution for its fleet of A350 XWB aircraft configured for medium-haul operations.

This IFEC Maintenance Agreement between SIAEC and Thales will support the SIA fleet for an initial term of 10 years and the scope of services will include line maintenance, software and media content loading, and support.

SIAEC executive vice president for operations Ivan Neo said, “With our comprehensive range of IFEC maintenance services, augmented by specialist support from our esteemed partners, SIAEC is well positioned to provide one-stop turnkey maintenance solutions to all our customers.”
