SIA to waive rebooking fees

This will be applied to tickets issued on or before 15 March.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is waiving all rebooking fees for tickets issued on or before 15 March 2020 and all tickets for travel up to 31 May, according to an announcement.

The company said that customers will be allowed to cancel their existing flight itineraries, retain the value of their tickets and rebook their travel at a later date, given that customers confirm a new travel itinerary.

The new flight itinerary should be completed by 31 March 2021.

Whilst all rebooking fees will be waived, a fare difference may apply for the new itinerary.

The company said that the current waiver policy will continually be reviewed, and that the cut-off date of 31 May is still open for extension as it assesses the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on air travel in the coming weeks.

SIA will also waive change fees for all new SIA and SilkAir tickets issued from 15 March to 31 March.
