SIAEC, Rolls-Royce ink 10-year line maintenance and in-field services agreement
The new deal also extends SIAEC’s existing on-wing care services with Rolls-Royce.
SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) has inked a 10-year agreement with Rolls Royce PLC to provide the automobile company with line maintenance and in-field services.
Under the agreement, SIAEC will particularly work on maintaining Rolls-Royce Trent 7000, 1000, 900, 800, 700, 500, and XWB engines.
SIAEC will likewise provide in-field service for Rolls-Royce customers in Singapore, which include Singapore Airlines, at its facilities.
The new deal also extends SIAEC’s existing on-wing care services with Rolls-Royce, adding Trent 7000 and Trent XWB engines to its coverage.
The existing on-wing care includes on-wing support, borescope inspections, engine changes, and engine build-up services for the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000, 900, 800, and 700 engines.
“These new capabilities will strengthen the scope of SIAEC’s engine services in support of its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners and airline customers,” the company said in a bourse filing.
SIAEC said it does not expect the latest transaction with Rolls-Royce to have a material impact on its earnings per share or the net tangible assets per share of the SIAEC Group for the financial year ending 31 March 2022.
