Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia ink frequent flyer agreement
Programme members can earn and redeem miles on codeshare flights.
Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Garuda Indonesia have inked a frequent flyer programme agreement, offering their members reciprocal benefits.
When launched, GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members can earn and redeem miles on codeshare flights operated by both airlines.
Apart from a frequent flyer partnership, the airlines also proposed a revenue-sharing arrangement for flights between Indonesia and Singapore.
The revenue-sharing arrangement is subject to regulatory approval.s
Should the arrangement be executed, it will facilitate joint capacity growth, representing a key milestone in the plans for a proposed commercial joint venture involving Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and Indonesia.
