Singapore Airlines’ passenger capacity grew 28.1% YoY in July
The most attractive employer carried over 3 million passengers last month.
The top attractive employer, Singapore Airlines Group, documented 3 million passengers, 28.1% higher year-on-year in July 2023.
Both SIA and Scoot’s group passenger load factor was recorded at 89.8%. SIA recorded a monthly PLF of 89% and Scoot’s PLF was at 92.7%.
For cargo operations, the airlines posted a load factor of 52.4%, or 8.1 percentage points lower YoY. Cargo loads dropped by 7.1% YoY due to weaker demand whilst capacity expanded by 7.3% as increased passenger services resulted in higher belly-hold capacity.
Scoot resumed flights to Jinan and Shenzhen in July, while services to Gold Coast were
suspended as the airline adjusted its capacity in response to demand.
As at end of July 2023, the Group’s passenger network covered 117 destinations in 36 countries and territories.
