Singapore and Brazil sign MOI on Advanced Air Mobility
They will collaborate on aircraft expertise.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and National Civil Aviation Agency – Brazil (ANAC) signed a Memorandum of Intent (MOI) on Advanced Air Mobility, according to a press release.
Under the MOI, CAAS and ANAC will exchange expertise and information on certification, validation, and entry-into-service of electric vertical take-off and landing (e-VTOL) aircraft.
They will also collaborate on technical standards development and engage industry stakeholders on the safe operation of e-VTOL aircraft.
The MOI was signed by Tan Kah Han, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Director (Unmanned Systems Group and Next Generation Programme Office) of the CAAS, and Roberto José Silveira Honorato, Head of the Airworthiness Department of ANAC, during the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) first Advanced Air Mobility Symposium 2024 in Montréal, Canada.
