Singapore excluded from Taiwan's resumption of visa-free entry scheme

Singaporeans won't be able to enter Taiwan visa-free from 12 September.

Singapore was excluded from the list of countries where Taiwan will be resuming its visa exemption entry scheme.

Based on a list uploaded by Taiwan's Bureau of Consular Affairs, Singapore was amongst the countries where the visa-free entry scheme was temporarily suspended.

Prior COVID, Singaporeans enjoyed visa-free travel to Taiwan.

Countries granted visa-free entry to Taiwan starting 12 September include the USA and the UK.

A Bloomberg report stated that travellers from nations with visa-free entry will still undergo a three-day quarantine and that Taiwan will maintain its 50,000 arrivals cap.
