ST Aerospace lands cabin reconfiguration deal with Air Canada
The contract includes reconfiguring eight Airbus A330 aircraft.
The integrated service provider landed a sizeable deal with the Canadian flag carrier to install additional premium economy seats in the aircraft cabin while enlarging the economy class section of each of the eight Airbus A330 aircraft.
According to a statement by ST Aerospace, the first A330 will be inducted in the third quarter of 2016, while the last will is targeted for redelivery by the end of 1Q17.
ST Aero also said the scope of the work also includes the integration of an audio and video on-demand system, and maintenance checks for the entire fleet.
“Upon completion of the prototype aircraft, applications will be submitted for Supplemental Type Certificates from the US Federal Aviation Administration and Transport Canada Civil Aviation,” the statement said.
