ST Engineering JV re-enters Airbus A380 MRO market with Global Airlines deal

It will begin its services in Q4.

ST Engineering’s joint venture with Airbus, Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW), is set to re-enter the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) market for the Airbus A380.

EFW inked a deal with Global Airlines to conduct A380 airframe heavy maintenance services at its Dresden, Germany facility in 4Q2024.

The maintenance services will enable Global Airlines' first A380 aircraft to enter commercial service.

EFW will be responsible for all scheduled maintenance, including mandatory inspections and component replacements.

 In addition to Global Airlines, EFW has received A380 MRO orders from other customers and will expand its A380 maintenance activities from 2025 onwards.
