Tiger Airways launches 45-cent fares to Malaysia and Thailand
Singapore’s budget carrier gives passengers another reason to celebrate for the 45th National Day.
Tiger Airways, in celebration of Singapore’s 45th National Day, announced on Thursday that it is slashing its fares to as low as 45 cents plus taxes. The 45-cent fares are for 6 destinations in Malaysia and Thailand – Kuala Lumpur, Kuching, Penang, Hat Yai, Phuket and Krabi. Other international routes are also on sale, from different promotional rates such as $4.50 plus taxes, according to a Tiger Airway announcement.
Rosalynn Tay, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore, said, “Singapore is where we started 6 years ago. Since then, we have grown to become the largest low-cost carrier here. We achieved that with our low, low fares, which also helped build bridges between Singapore and her neighbours in Asia-Pacific.
“This promotion is our way of thanking Singapore for the support we have been receiving. Singapore is important to us as a base, and we plan to continue grow here. We believe offering cheap fares is what people want, instead of asking them to jump up and down. So from the Tiger to the Lion City, here’s to many more years of nation building and low, low fares!” said Rosalynn Tay.
Booking is done online until 4 August. Travel periods are from August to November, varying according to destination.
