As its current CEO, Chin Yau Seng, will soon be returning to SIA.
In a recent statement, the Board of Tiger Airways Holdings Limited announced that it is initiating the search for a CEO to succeed Mr Chin Yau Seng, who will be returning to Singapore Airlines.
According to the statement:
Mr Chin, a senior executive with SIA, was given leave of absence in early July 2011 to take the CEO post at Tiger from Mr Tony Davis, who was despatched to Melbourne to lead Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited following its suspension by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Mr Chin has led Tiger with distinction in the intervening period. He has stabilized the Group, and set it on a course of steady progress and improved governance. The Board has now agreed with his request to release him once a suitable person has been identified and has taken up the appointment. The Board expects to complete the search in 6 months.
