
Tiger pays A$110,000 in response to infringement notice
The notice was issued by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
Tiger Airways issued this statement:
Tiger Airways Holdings Limited has offered, and the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has accepted, an enforceable undertaking relating to compliance with Australia's Spam Act. Acceptance of the undertaking concludes an investigation by the ACMA into compliance with the Spam Act by Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited and Tiger Airways Singapore Pte. Limited.
Tiger Airways Australia has also paid A$110,000 in response to an infringement notice issued by the ACMA. Tiger Airways Australia and Tiger Airways Singapore have made improvements to their electronic mail marketing processes and (under the undertaking) will have these processes independently reviewed to identify further improvements.
