SATS names Alexander Charles Hungate as executive director

He will also assume president and CEO roles when Tan Chuan Lye retires on 31 December.

The Board of SATS announced the appointment of Alexander Charles Hungate as executive director effective 16 July 2013 and president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective 1 January 2014.

Mr. Hungate, 46 is HSBC Singapore group general manager and CEO. He was appointed to the Board of SATS Ltd. on 27 July 2011 and is a member of SATS' Remuneration and Human Resource Committee and its Nominating Committee.

Upon his appointment as president and CEO, he will be responsible for the overall management of the SATS Group, according to a SATS report.

In the past, he was HSBC group managing director personal financial services and marketing September 07 to September 10, Reuters managing director, Asia Pacific from 2005 to 2007 and Reuters global chief marketing officer from 2002 to 2005.
