Singapore Airlines names Stephen Barnes as senior vice president – finance

He has over 30 years of experience as a finance professional and has held key leadership positions in various industries.

Singapore Airlines announced the appointment of Stephen Barnes as senior vice president for finance effective 20 January 2014.

Mr Barnes, 54, will be in charge of all areas of finance, such as treasury, operational and capital budgeting, risk management and insurance, according to a Singapore Airlines report.

He is currently senior director – Portfolio Management, senior director – Finance, and director – Marketing Asia-Pacific at Guggenheim Aviation Partners from October 2008 until January 2014. Before this he was divisional vice president – Treasury and Structured Finance at Singapore Airlines from June 2001 to October 2008.
