Tiger Airways appoints ex-Silk Air exec as CEO
Chin Yau Seng’s appointment will be effective starting November 1, 2011.
In a statement, Tiger Airways said the current acting Chief Executive Officer will succeed Tony Davis, who has been at the LCC’s helm since January 2005.
Prior to his appointment, Chin was the former CEO of Silk Air. He has been with the Singapore Airlines Group for more than 15 years.
With only less than three months left before Davis’s resignation takes effect on November 1, the budget carrier said it is still in the process of appointing his replacement as CEO of its Australian operations.
The LCC said a new CEO for Tiger Airways Australia will be named “in due course.”
