Tiger Airways Australia bares Davis' replacement as CEO
Former Virgin Blue COO Andre David will assume his new role effective October 17.
He will succeed Tony Davis, whose departure from the company becomes official on November 1.
Prior to his stint at Virgin Blue, David held various senior management roles at Air New Zealand, including Chief Information Officer, VP Strategy and Planning and General Manager Short Haul Airlines. He holds an Executive MBA from Auckland University.
In a statement, Chin Yau Seng, Acting Chief Executive Officer of Tiger Airways Holdings Limited, said “We are pleased to welcome Andrew on board as the new CEO of Tiger Airways Australia. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the airline business and a proven track record as a leader and manager. “
Chin said he is confident that David “will be able to take Tiger Airways Australia to new heights.”
