Colliers transforms Singapore office into regional powerhouse
The newly revamped office showcases Colliers’ commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.
To facilitate a centre of excellence and collaborative space for markets across Asia, real estate giant Colliers unveiled its newly expanded and revamped office in Singapore.
Nestled in the heart of the Singapore business district, Colliers’ office stands as a strategic centre, leveraging Singapore’s role as a pivotal finance and commerce hub in the APAC region to “drive growth and offer outstanding service to clients throughout the area.”
“The Singapore office stands out as a beacon of excellence within Colliers’ global network of offices. Not only does it serve as a vital hub for the entire Asia Pacific region, but it also embodies Colliers’ commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability,” Bastiaan van Beijsterveldt, Managing Director for Colliers Singapore told Singapore Business Review.
Sporting an expanded and ergonomically improved office environment, Colliers now hosts the entire Colliers Singapore team, along with key APAC team leaders, including the COO of APAC.
The office brings together a diverse array of talents from occupier services, capital markets and investments, valuation and advisory, industrial, hospitality and leisure, advisory and ESG services, and business partner teams.
“The new office is located in Asia Square Tower 2, a prominent asset in Singapore’s office building landscape known for its modern amenities and sustainability,” said Van Beijsterveldt, noting how the firm relocated just a few floors higher to a much larger space, enriched with new features aimed at improving the workplace environment.
With the transfer, Colliers has aligned its new office to contemporary trends in workplace culture, community, and collaboration.
“It features premium-grade office spaces with large, efficient, and column-free floor plates, catering to contemporary business requirements. The office design reflects Colliers’ commitment to sustainability, with initiatives to minimise single-use item usage and promote eco-friendly practices,” Van Beijsterveldt said.
Highlighting its goal to prioritise sustainability, Colliers has maximised the office space to incorporate eco-friendly design elements and sustainable fit-out plans.
“With high reusability of the existing office features, the addition of green features like more plants and energy-saving motion sensors, we ensured that every aspect of the office design contributes to a greener work environment,” he said.
A beacon of excellence
Colliers has furnished the new office with state-of-the-art communication technology including a standing meeting table to facilitate brief and active discussions to live up to its reputation as “a beacon of excellence.”
The office also features a multi-purpose room serving as a wellness space for activities such as nursing, prayers, meditation, or relaxation, reflecting Colliers' commitment to employee well-being.
“One standout feature of the office is the provision of standing desks and ergonomic chairs for every employee, promoting physical health and productivity,” said Van Bejsterveldt. “The focus on well-being for example also translates into the inclusion of walking pads which allows employees to stay active while working, reflecting Colliers’ commitment to creating a supportive work environment.”
In addition to focusing on workplace experience, the office seeks to draw in capital and key decision-makers from across the Asia Pacific region, thereby accelerating the firm’s growth and expanding its network.
Colliers has made recent leadership appointments and investments in Singapore, highlighting the city's critical position in the company’s global strategy and reinforcing its importance across the firm’s global network.
Van Beijsterveldt believes that “Singapore’s business-friendly environment, infrastructure, connectivity, and world-class talent contribute to its appeal as a hub for multinational corporations and real estate firms like Colliers.”
