Analysts are seeing continued resilience in terms of property investment in Singapore, highlighting several opportunities the country could leverage on.
According to Colliers, despite pressures on both the general economy and office rents in the past years, investment opportunities still abound in the office market, given its status as a sophisticated market economy with high regulatory transparency.
Meanwhile, the industry property in Singapore is also becoming more popular as foreigners, in general, assume they can overcome licensing issues.
For the residential market, opportunities are in collective sales.
"While we believe that any easing of the government's residential cooling measures should provide an impetus for foreign investment in the luxury residential segment in particular. Foreigners should find it attractive to re-enter this segment when the additional buyer’s stamp duty of 15% imposed on foreigners is eventually relaxed or removed," Colliers said.
