Centurion’s net profit jumped 28% to $9.8m in Q2

Thanks to its strong dorm portfolio.

Strong revenue growth in its dormitory business pushed Centurion’s net profit to $9.8m in the second quarter.

Revenue in its core accommodation business surged 40% to $24.9m, on back of its expansion into the student accommodation business in the UK, coupled with the increase in bed occupancy at Westlite Toh Guan dormitory.

Centurion has decided to pay an interim dividend on a half-yearly basis. For 1H 2015, the Board has recommended an interim dividend of 0.5 Singapore cent per share.
