Frasers Property Retail rolls out safety measures for phase 1 reopening
Autonomous UV disinfecting bots have been deployed.
As Singapore enters the first phase of safe reopening, Frasers Property Retail has partnered with technological firms to ensure health and safety of its tenants and visitors alike.
In collaboration with the PBA group, they have rolled out UV disinfecting autonomous mobile robots – called Sunburst UV Bots. The bot is equipped with a camera, built-in sensors, software, and a UV-C light to kill the viruses. The first bot has been deployed at Northpoint City and 10 more are ready to be rolled out to the other malls.
Frasers has also piloted delivery services on its digital F&B concierge, Frasers Makan Master, where over a hundred tenants can use the Makan Master via the Frasers Experience app to reach out to their customers.
Meanwhile, the company has set aside $50,000 to distribute face masks to over 1,300 tenants and all the frontline staff across all Frasers malls. Tenants, staff, and vendors will also be provided with face shields for an added layer of protection.
Routine cleaning has picked up a notch with use of disinfectants on high-contact areas like lift buttons, toilets, and lift cars. The air vents, sewer pipes, and exhaust ducts are being disinfected regularly.
For visitors, there are thermal scanners, hand sanitizers, and safe distancing markings. The malls even accommodate Razer’s mask vending machines, where visitors can claim their free mask or purchase at their own convenience.
