Keppel T&T acquires industrial building from Mapletree Logistics Trust for $20m
It will be developed into a data centre.
Mapletree Logistics Trust has divested an industrial building to Keppel Data Centres Holdings (KDCH) for a consideration of $20m.
KDCH is a joint venture between Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation and Keppel Land. The property, located at 20 Tampines Street 92, will be used to develop the company’s fourth data centre in Singapore.
Construction will be undertaken in three phases with phase 1 core and shell construction and fit-out of the facility expected to be completed by 2016.
When fully completed, it will feature approximately 183,000-sq ft of Gross Floor Area, making it Keppel's second largest data centre in Singapore after Keppel Digihub.
