TEE International Limited said it has been awarded two new engineering contracts from the National University Hospital (S) Pte Ltd (NUH) and Citibank NA, Citi Realty Services - Singapore in Singapore, totaling S$54.2 million in value, an announcement from TEE said on Tuesday.

TEE said it was awarded by NUH on 27 August 2010 with a S$43.2 million contract to provide the proposed additions and alterations works to the existing main building of NUH; complete with associated external works and landscaping works, including all architectural, civil and structural, interior fitting-out works, mechanical and electrical services installation with all alterations to and relocation/diversion of the existing services installations.

Meanwhile, another contract was awarded to the facilities management group on 30 June 2010 when it clinched a S$11.0 million Citi Campus contract by Citibank for a contract period of June 2010 to April 2011. The group was tasked to complete the fitting-out works to level 5 to level 8 (Block 2 Citi Campus) to proposed addition and alteration works to level 1 to level 8 of the existing 8-Storey commercial building at No. 5 Changi Business Park Crescent.

TEE said it had also received a contract from Citibank in March 2009, to complete the retrofitting works for the 8-storey building within a 3-month period, equipped with high-tech, intelligent and environmental features. Upon completion of this earlier contract, the Citi Campus was awarded the highest BCA Green Mark Award (Platinum), according to the TEE release.

Mr. CK Phua, Group Chief Executive of TEE International Limited said, “I am definitely pleased about the awards of these contracts to TEE as it is a testament to our competitive edge, our technical capability and our strong reputation in the industry. Our order book replenishment rate is healthy and we will continue to focus on securing sizable rebuilding contracts in Singapore and also in the region.

TEE’s outstanding order book is reported at S$ 241.0 million for its engineering segment as at end August 2010.

“We believe the healthy demand for engineering work in Singapore will continue, as evidenced by a steady stream of new building and re-building project enquiries that we continue to receive,” Mr. CK Phua added.
