2010 new homes sales volume to surpass 2007 record by 10%
The sales tally for the whole of 2010 is likely to be in excess of 16,500 units.
Collier's International said this will put 2010's sales volume at more than 10% above the historical high of 14,811 unites achieved in 2007.
It is likely that developers will be keen to continue to unload previously accumulated land to ride on home-seekers' buying momentum, as well as to avoid being caught by further cooling measures, which is likely to follow after November's robust sales volume.
Sales in December are likely to stay buoyant at above 1,000 units given that the market is awash with liquidity and interest rates remain low.
