CapitaLand increases global sustainability challenge fund by $500,000
Over 270 entries were received from more than 25 countries.
Capitaland Group launched the second Capitaland Sustainability X Challenge (CSXC) with increased funding for the challenge by up to $500,000 for the top 10 projects to be piloted at the group’s global network of properties.
The group seeks ideas that target key challenges in the built environment such as low carbon transition, water conservation and resilience, waste management, and the circular economy.
For this year, submissions will be evaluated based on the impact, potential outcomes, depth of innovation, scalability and effectiveness of deploying amongst CapitaLand’s properties. The 10 shortlisted startups will be mentored by industry experts in order to prepare them for a pitch to a panel of judges in June 2022.
CSXC 2022 will be open for submissions until 28 February 2022.
Originally launched in November 2020, CSXC 2021 was the first sustainability-focused innovation challenge by a Singapore real estate company on a worldwide scale. Over 270 entries were received from more than 25 countries, with the two winners receiving over $50,000 in funding for their pilots at CapitaLand properties.
