
Chart of the Day: Retail occupancy rates in Orchard/Scotts Road hit 94.2% in Q3 2019
The area posted the highest occupancy rate for retail properties.
This chart from EDMUND TIE shows that the Orchard/Scotts Road (OSR) posted the highest occupancy rate for retail properties at 94.2%. However, the figure dipped 0.1 ppt QoQ.
At the same time, occupancy rate in Other City Areas (OCA) climbed 0.9 ppt to 91.4%, whilst there was 90.4% or 0.3 ppt less of retail space in the Fringe/Suburban Areas (FSA) that was taken up.
Based on Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) estimates, island-wide occupancy edged up 0.1 ppt QoQ to 91.3% in Q3. The retail market saw modest demand, whilst net supply was positive, the report noted.
