Chart of the Day: Value of deals in industrial market crashed 23% to $4.45b

As transactions dropped 45%.

According to CIMB, reflecting the above measures, transactions in the industrial market in 9M13 had dropped by about 45% from the 3,475 a year ago.

In addition, the total value of transactions had dropped by 23% yoy to S$4.45bn.

In Jul, a spike in transacted value was mainly led by the listing of new REITs, namely:

i) the injection of UE Bizhub East at S$518m into Viva Industrial Trust;

ii) the injection of West Park Biz Central at S$313m into Soilbuild REIT during its IPO;

iii) the divestment of Lam Soon Industrial at S$141m by Cambridge Industrial REIT;

iv) the injection of Tuas Connection at S$123m into Soilbuild REIT during its IPO;

and v) the injection of Eightrium @ Changi Business Park at S$91.4m into Soilbuild REIT during its IPO.
