Singapore-based Gushcloud International, a digital talent agency, has raised $15.14m (US$11m) in a round led by GDP Ventures for the expansion of its digital celebrity representation business into the US and China.
This is its first round of funding conducted after the its cofounders bought back the company from its previous parent, Yello Digital Marketing Global. South Korea’s KB Investments (KB Financial Holdings), Golden Equator Capital, Korea Investment Partners (via GEC-KIP Fund), and Kejora Ventures along with other individual investors including American entrepreneur and renowned hip hop mogul, Russell Simmons, participated in the fresh round.
The group also made some movements in its senior management to prepare for an aggressive next phase of growth as it looks to expand into China and US markets.
Gushcloud International is one of the early pioneers in the influencer space, originally launching itself as an influencer and brand matching platform.

COVE, a new player in Singapore’s growing co-living space, has raised over $2.75m (US$2m) in a seed funding round, co-led by Venturra Capital, Yuj Ventures (backed by global investment firm The Xander Group), Investigate, and Picus Capital.
Singapore VC funds Aetius Capital and Found Ventures, besides a host of strategic angel investors, also joined the round.
The co-living space provider plans to use the capital to expand its presence in Southeast Asia and build out its technology.
COVE was founded in 2018 by Sophie Jokelson, Luca Bregoli and Guillaume Castagne (formerly VP for Marketing at Lazada) through startup generator Antler.
The platform leverages technology and design to rent out affordable rooms for tenants, which come fully-furnished with WiFi, weekly cleaning and all taxes and utilities for a monthly price.
