Elite UK REIT submits plans for 80MW data centre at Peel Park, Blackpool
The REIT's manager has secured enough power for the proposed data centre.
Elite UK REIT has filed a planning application to develop an 80-megawatt data centre at Peel Park, Blackpool, in the United Kingdom.
In a bourse filing, the REIT said its manager has already secured sufficient power for the proposed data centre facility.
Discussions are underway to source renewable energy from nearby wind power infrastructure, ensuring the facility operates sustainably.
Situated beside 15.65 hectares of freehold land, the data centre site is less than five kilometres from Blackpool town centre.
It also benefits from a subsea cable that made landfall in Blackpool in 2022, connecting the town to Dublin and extending to Europe and the US.
