Gov’t ramps up private housing supply on Confirmed List to 5,450 units
This marks the highest housing supply on the confirmed list since 2H13.
The 10 government land sale (GLS) sites in the 1H24 confirmed list will yield 5,450 units, a 5.6% increase from the 5,160 units in 2H23.
“This is the highest supply on the Confirmed List in a single GLS Programme since the 2H2013 GLS Programme,” the Ministry of National Development (MND) said.
The Confirmed List comprises nine private residential sites and a commercial and residential site.
The nine private residential sites under the Confirmed List include an EC site and a long-stay Serviced Apartments site.
The 5,450 units will include 710 executive condominium units and 515 long-stay Serviced Apartments, and 13,900 sqm gross floor area of commercial space.
The units yielded by the 1H24 GLS suites will bring Singapore’s total pipeline supply of private housing, including Executive Condominiums (EC), to about 59,100 units.
Meanwhile, the government also announced nine Reserve List sites for 1H24.
The Reserve List comprises six private residential sites, a commercial site, a White site, and a hotel site.
The residential sites under the Reserve List include two EC sites and a site with a mandatory long-stay Serviced Apartments component.
The Reserve List sites have the potential to yield an additional 3,460 private residential units, including 855 EC units and 220 long-stay Serviced Apartments, 93,850 sqm GFA of commercial space and 530 hotel rooms.
Overall, the 1H24 GLS sites can yield about 8,910 private residential units, 107,750 sqm GFA of commercial space and 530 hotel rooms.
