
Home sales down 30% in December 2010
Excluding ECs, 1,332 units were sold in December, according to DBS.
Although units sold for December fell 30%, primary sales for 2010 came in at a record 16,357 units, outperforming 2009 by 16%.
The mid and upper mid segment dominated transactions, making up 64% of monthly volume including Capitaland’s D’Leedon (180 units), The Tennery (220 units), Roxy Pacific’s Space @ Kovan (109 units) and Nin Residence (71 units). The high-end market accounted for 12% of total volume sales, thanks to the small units at Robinson Suites, which achieved 157 sales (90% of high end) at an ASP of $2941psf. Other high-end developments that saw further take up include Ritz Carlton Residences, Nassim Residences, Tomlinson Heights and Paterson Suites. Mass market projects recorded only a 17% market share.
