Keppel Land's China expansion plan to focus on 5 key cities

Set to conquer Tier 1 cities.

Keppel Land revealed that it plans to focus and scale up in 5 China cities, namely: Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Chengdu and Wuxi. The property developer said it wants to grow its commercial presence in Tier 1 cities while it monitors the residential market for possible new projects and phases.

As part of its plan to expand into Tier 1 cities in China, Keppel Land cited its ongoing commercial project in Beijing expected to be completed by 2016. Located at Chaoyang District, the three office blocks and retail development has a gross floor area of around 100,000 sqm. It also boasts close proximity to metro Lines 1 and 10, the China World Trade Centre and China Centrel TV Tower.

Meanwhile for its strategy of monitoring the market for possible launches, Keppel Land noted two such projects that investors should watch out for. First is the Waterfront Residence in Nantong with its 236 landed homes, and second the Hill Crest Villa in Chengdu with 274 landed homes.
