Keppel REIT mulls over MBFC Tower 3 acquisition

See which asset could be up for divestment.

According to CIMB, during its results briefing, Keppel REIT said that if it is to acquire Marina Bay Financial Center (MBFC) Tower 3, it may have to divest one of its older assets (in addition to tapping the capital market) to part-finance the c.S$1.3bn acquisition.

In our view, Prudential Tower is the most likely candidate for divestment, should this happen, given the asset’s age and the fact that it is one of the few assets that are unencumbered.
