Lendlease designates new head of data centres
Sunita Bottse has more than 10 years of experience building Tier IV data centres.
Real estate firm, Lendlease, has appointed Sunita Bottse, a data expert, to become the firm’s chief of data centres, where she will also lead the $1.37b ($US1b) joint venture (JV).
The venture has a large institutional investor to invest in data centres in the Asia-Pacific. Under the JV, it is currently developing a 120-megawatt hyper-scale data centre in Greater Tokyo, Japan with construction to start in June 2022.
She will manage both sourcing and developing data centre assets across Australia, China, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
As for track record, Bottse has more than a decade of experience building and managing Tier IV data centres in the region. She was most recently CEO of Thailand-based SUPERNAP, a firm behind the first carrier-neutral hyperscale data centre in Thailand.
Bottse will be reporting to Andrew Gauci, who is head of telecoms and data infrastructure in Asia.
