Preschool converted from car park to open at Wisteria Mall in July
The car park-to-childcare centre conversion was part of the mall’s broader rejuvenation.
A new childcare centre at Wisteria Mall will open its doors to the public next month, marking the first childcare centre to be converted from a car park space under URA’s Community/Sports Facilities Scheme (CSFS).
Located within the mall’s second-story car park, the new Artemis Preskool will be able to provide residents in Yishun with quality and affordable childcare services, according to a press release by Knight Frank.
The car park’s conversion into a preschool centre was made possible through URA’s CSFS, which allowed Schroders Capital, the owner of the mall, to increase the property’s commercial space with a bonus gross floor area (GFA).
The integration of the preschool was part of Schroders’ broader plan to rejuvenate Wisteria Mall since acquiring it in 2022, according to Andrew Moore, Head of Real Estate APAC, Schroders.
Knight Frank secured the lease with Artemis Preskool in the fourth quarter of last year.
