Residential properties sale value up 30%

Residential properties sale value topped auction sale, garnering $114.82 million or 51.3% of the total sale value.

The buoyant residential sale was driven by the landed segment, according to Colliers International. A total of 12 landed properties, worth a total of S$78.95 million, were knocked down – accounting for a significant 68.8 per cent of the year’s residential sales done at auctions.

Of the S$78.95 million, a considerable S$57.44 million was contributed by the sale of four bungalows – namely, 4 Margoliouth Road, 5 Chestnut Close, 6 Coronation Road West and 53 Sixth Avenue.

Meanwhile, the non-landed segment saw 24 properties sold for a total of $35.88 million, of which nine of them worth a total of S$21.71 million were located in the prime districts.

The most expensive non-landed residential sale was a unit in D’Grove Villas which went for S$5.42 million and this was followed by a unit in Makeway View for $3.88 million and another in Oceanfront, Sentosa Cove, for S$3.15 million.
