SG-listed Hongkong Land, LREIT amongst ESG leaders in real estate
The report was released by the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark.
Singapore-listed diversified property firm Hongkong Land and Lendleease Global Commercial REIT (LREIT) were named amongst the leaders in the property sector for their environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
According to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark, Hongkong Land was amongst the regional sector leaders under the development benchmark alongside Europe’s Castellum AB, Atenor SA, GECINA, and Americas’ HudsonPacificProperties.
Meanwhile, LREIT and Parkway Parade Partnership emerged as joint Global Sector Leaders, and the overall regional sector leaders in the retail category.

This is the fourth consecutive year that LREIT has been named as the Regional Sector Leader in Asia Retail for those listed, the company said.
Some of Lendlease’s projects include the implementation of carbon capture and utilisation technology for all superstructures and columns from the second storey of the Shaw Tower.
It also used Singapore Green Building Product certified “4-Tick” concrete, carbon cure concrete, recycled bar and other sustainability initiatives at Paya Lebar Green that will reduce carbon by 46% from the baseline scenario.
