SPH to revamp property classification codes in CATS Classified, newspapers
User search experience should improve.
With effect from 22 October, Singapore Press Holdings' (SPH) CATS Classified announced that it will be changing its classification codes in the Property section to enhance users' search experience.
CATS Classified has been continuously improving its product features to maintain its position as a rich source of information for property buyers and sellers. Since June, all property advertisements have been paginated in a separate, handy section on Saturdays. With this latest change, the classification codes in the Property section will be fine-tuned to allow readers to zoom into the district which they are looking for easily.
Besides segregating the classification codes for landed homes and private apartments by districts, new classes have also been created for rental of HDB flats, private and HDB rooms, differentiated by region.
The new sub-sections are:
· Landed Homes for Sale
· Private Apartments for Sale
· Landed Homes for Rent
· Private Apartments for Rent
· HDB Apartments for Rent
· Rooms for Rent
Ms Tan Su-Lin, Vice President of CATS Classified, Marketing, said: “With this new classification system, readers will be able to search for properties more efficiently. For example, if a reader is looking for a private condominium in Queenstown, which is in District 3, he or she can go directly to Class 413 D03 without having to plough through listings of other districts as before.”
These changes will apply to the Classified sections of The Straits Times, The Sunday Times, Lianhe Zaobao, Berita Harian, Berita Minggu, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News.
