Ascendas India Trust names Arthur Tan Meng Teck as CFO

He took over the post that was earlier held in an acting capacity by Jayanti Sari Jong.

Ascendas India Trust announced the appointment of Arthur Tan Meng Teck as chief financial officer.

Mr Tan, 39, will oversee the financial operations of Ascendas Property Fund Trustee, in its capacity as Trustee-Manager of a-iTrust, and its subsidiaries. This includes financial compliance and reporting, financial management, corporate finance and treasury management, according to an Ascendas India rust report.

Mr Tan was the CFO of Longcheer Holdings Limited, a company listed on the mainboard of SGX-ST, since March 2006. During which, he oversaw the group’s finance operations, reporting requirements, treasury and tax. Prior to that, he was director of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with Shanghai Fortune Investment Consulting, an investment advisory firm specialising in the restructuring of state-owned enterprises in China. Between 1999 and 2004, he held various senior regional finance and M&A roles in multinational and local corporations based in Singapore. He started his career with KPMG Singapore in 1995. Mr Tan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
