Ascendas Property Fund Trustee promotes Sanjeev Dasgupta to CEO

He has 22 years of experience in corporate finance and relevant areas, of which the last nine years have been in senior leadership roles in fund management and real estate industry.

Ascendas Property Fund Trustee announced the appointment of Sanjeev Dasgupta as chief executive officer.

Mr Dasgupta, 47, will be responsible for overseeing corporate development, finance, asset and investment management, and investor relations functions in managing Ascendas India Trust, according to a Ascendas Property Fund Trustee report.

Mr Dasgupta joined the company on 15 January 2014 as assistant CEO and was appointed as CEO designate on 25 April 2014. Prior to this, he was president of real estate at ICICI Venture, where he was responsible for real estate private equity investments. The company is one of India's leading fund managers. The real estate funds under management were approximately USD 600 million. From 2005 to 2009, Mr Dasgupta was managing director of Future Capital Holdings. He managed investments for the real estate private equity funds of approximately USD 430 million. From 2004, he worked with Epicenter Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as CFO and with Essar Group.
