China New Town Development re-appoints Kong Siu Chee as director

The board reconsidered him to the position after he had decided to retire.

China New Town Development announced the re-appointment of Kong Siu Chee as independent non-executive director.

Mr Kong, 67, also reassumed his position as chairman of Remuneration Committee and Investment Committee, and a member of Nominating Committee, according to a China New Town Development report.

He was appointed to the board of the Company on 30 November 2006. Between 1999 and 2005, Mr. Kong served as a director, executive vice president and alternate CEO of CITIC Ka Wah Bank (renamed as CITIC Bank International in May 2010), and was also a director and the managing director of CITIC International Financial Holdings from 2002 to 2005. He has been an independent non-executive director of Harbin Bank since October 2013, and he has recently been appointed as an independent non-executive director of DIGITALHONGKONG.COM, a company listed on The Growth Enterprise Market of The SEHK with effect from 28 March 2014.
