Far East Hospitality Trust names Gregory Sim Chee Wah as CFO and head of Investor Relations
He will replace Danny Peh Kok Kheng, who now has new responsibilities in Far East Organization where he will provide counsel on strategic investments.
The Board of Far East Hospitality Trust announced the appointment of Gregory Sim Chee Wah as CFO and head of Investor Relations.
Mr Sim, 45, will be responsible for overseeing all the financial, accounting and investor relations matters of Far East Hospitality Trust.
Mr Sim has more than 18 years of financial operations and management reporting experience, of which the last seven years was with Far East Organization, where he served as deputy director of Management Services. Overseeing the Business Analysis and Control function, Mr Sim had oversight of the financial and yield management of the Far East Organization's extensive portfolio of investment properties in corporate real estate, hospitality, commercial and retail, as well as franchised food and restaurants sectors.
From February 2001 to June 2006, Mr Sim was with SembCorp Industries Ltd (“SCI”). In his last held position as assistant vice president of Group Finance Operations, he was responsible for financial operations, budgetary control, statutory and management reporting including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, economic value added statement, periodic forecast and analysis of the company and the corporate group of companies. He also assisted in corporate finance activities, according to a Far East Hospitality Trust report.
Mr Sim graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Merit) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 1995. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Singapore (non-practicing member) since 1999.
