Fraser and Neave appoints Siripen Sitasuwan as director

Meanwhile, Dr Pailin Chuchottaworn resigns from the Board due to his inability to fully participate in all board activities.

The Board of Fraser and Neave announced the appointment of Siripen Sitasuwan as non-executive independent director.

Mrs Siripen Sitasuwan, 65, was president (January 1999 to June 2007), executive vice president - finance (1995 to 1999) and vice president - finance (1991 to 1995) of Shin Corporation Public Company.

She obtained her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Wichita State University, Kansas, USA.

Meanwhile, after he was appointed to the board Dr Pailin Chuchottaworn, 57, commenced a number of projects at his employer, which requires significant commitment and focus, according to a Fraser and Neave report.

He believes that he might therefore be unable to fully participate in all board activities, and in the interest of the Company he has decided to step down.

He was appointed to the post 28 February 2013.
