GuocoLand CEO Raymond Choong to step down

Singapore managing director Cheng Hsing Yao will replace Choong.

GuocoLand’s president and CEO Raymond Choong will be retiring from his post on 30 June, with the current Singapore managing director Cheng Hsing Yao set to replace him, according to an announcement in the Singapore Exchange.

Choong joined the group in September 2015. He is also the current chairman of GuocoLand Malaysia, and serves as a non-independent, non-executive chairman of GuocoLand’s indirect subsidiary GLM Reit Management.

Meanwhile, Cheng has been GuocoLand Singapore’s group managing director since 2014. He also held leadership positions at the Centre for Liveable Cities and the Urban Redevelopment Authority prior to joining GuocoLand.
