Wing Tai Holdings names Christopher Lau Loke Sam as director

He is a former judicial commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Wing Tai Holdings announced the appointment of Christopher Lau Loke Sam as non-executive director.

Mr Lau, 66, will also be an Audit Committee chairman, according to a Wing Tai Holdings report.

Mr Lau is a Senior Counsel and an Independent Arbitrator. With more than 35 years of experience, Mr Lau has an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Asian legal culture and market dynamics. His arbitration practice encompasses Bilateral Investment Treaty and investment as well as all aspects of commercial disputes.

He is a former Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore. Between May 2004 and April 2013, he was an independent non-executive director of Neptune Orient Lines Limited, a member of its Audit Committee (and chairman of the Audit Committee from April 2006) as well as a member of its Enterprise Risk Management Committee.

Mr Lau currently serves as vice chairman of the Council for Estate Agencies Appeals Board.
