Filipinos can look forward to more work opportunities with 67% of Filipino employers expressing a “positive” intention to expand their local headcount, according to RGF International Recruitment's Talent in Asia report.
All in all, 79% of employers expressed that they are “optimistic” of growth.
However, 51% of Filipino employers cited the struggle to locate and attract key talent as their biggest hiring challenge. Other hiring concerns were low hiring budget and company culture mismatch, which were cited by 23% and 14% of Filipino employers, respectively.
The report also noted the employment considerations of Filipino talents. 91% of talents said that they expect a salary increase when switching jobs and an average pay rise of 26%. Meanwhile, in ranking factors to evaluate a new potential employer, 75% said that fair and marketing
competitive compensation is the most important, followed by career advancement opportunities
(11%) and good health benefits (14%).
Filipino talents can look forward to their expectations being met, with 36% of employers saying that they will review salary, compensation and benefits to match the local market. Meanwhile, 19% said that they will focus on improving the employer brand, and 17% pledged to introduce flexible arrangements for work-life balance.
