FTMSGlobal Academy Singapore launches new weekend MBA
The course fee is below $20,000.
To take advantage of the growing potential of Singapore as an Asian hub for higher education, homegrown FTMSGlobal Academy will be launching the International Executive Weekend MBA in February.
Awarded by Anglia Ruskin University in UK, the new weekend MBA program will consist of eight weekend classes from Friday to Sunday in Singapore, one leadership seminar in Malaysia, and a networking dinner on Saturdays. The leadership seminar in Malaysia is free of charge for all MBA students, inclusive of travel and accommodation costs.
According to Yuree Hong, FTMS Global's Business Development Manager, the new weekend MBA program will have around 20 pilot students in total. They are mostly senior managers from different countries such as Maldives, Brunei, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Vietnam, Italy and more.
"The MBA industry in Singapore is highly competitive as many courses are provided from the various institutes co-partnering with overseas universities. I see that the universities from the US, UK or Australia are most popular in the region," says Hong.
"I have spoken with many prospective students in Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam and Maldives, and they say university courses in Singapore are highly popular as a path to find a job in Singapore and settle in here," she adds.
Hong notes that the course fee varies in each region. For those based in Singapore, the MBA fee is SGD18,000.
