What will be the most in-demand roles in 2024?
According to a survey, tech and AI will continue to dominate the agenda of companies next year.
Talents with technology, digital transformation, generative AI, and ESG skill sets will continue to be sought after in Singapore next year, according to Robert Walters.
Looking at sectors, the professions that will have the most demand next year are the following:
- Accounting & Finance: Finance Business Partners, Corporate Finance, Commercial Analysts
- Banking & Financial Services: Traders, Portfolio Managers/Research/Investment Analysts, ESG domain roles
- Human Resources: HR Business Partner, Talent Management/ Talent Acquisition, Office Manager/Executive Assistants
- Sales & Marketing: Commercial Directors/Managers, Business Development & Managers, Customer Relationship Management and Loyalty Marketing
- Supply Chain, Procurement & Logistics: Logistics & Distribution, Planners, Procurement/Sourcing
- Technology & Transformation: Head of Digital or Business Transformation, Software Developers, Cloud & DevOps
Employees in four of the six industries mentioned above can expect pay raises in 2024.
These industries are Tech & Transformation (63%), Supply Chain & Procurement (63%), Sales & Marketing (63%), and Human Resources (63%).
Meanwhile, Robert Walters also found that many talents in Tech and Transformation (93%), Banking and Finance (87%), Supply Chain and Procurement (80%), and Accounting and Finance (80%) will likely change jobs in 2024.
Talents in the Tech and Transformation sector value flexible working arrangements the most when considering employers, followed by excellent compensation and benefits, and enhanced wellbeing strategies.
In the Supply Chain and Procurement, Banking and Finance, and Accounting and Finance segments, talents value excellent compensation and benefits the most, followed by flexible working.
