1.4 million Singaporeans to get Bicentennial Bonus benefits in November

This follows the top-ups to Edusave accounts and PSEA in June.

Around 1.4 million Singaporeans are to receive up to three Bicentennial Bonus benefits in November, which are the GST Voucher – Cash (Bicentennial Payment), CPF Top-up, and Workfare Bicentennial Bonus, an announcement revealed.

Around 570,000 citizens will also receive Personal Income Tax (PIT) Rebate. Year of Assessment (YA) 2019 assessments will mostly be completed by 31 December 2019.

The government had announced in Budget 2019 that they will allot $1.1b to give away bicentennial bonuses to commemorate Singapore’s Bicentennial and to support individuals who need more help. Some of the Bicentennial Bonus benefits were distributed over the past few months.

It includes the top-ups to Edusave accounts and PostSecondary Education Accounts (PSEA) that was distributed last June.
